Mayzmusik Help Keep Team GB Pumped
On Saturday October 8th 2011, twenty students & two members of staff from Mayzmusik Performing Arts Academy took to the Sugarloaf Mountain to spend the day singing a power ballad. Whilst on the surface this may seem an unusual way to spend a cold Saturday afternoon, they were actually filming an advert as part of the Cadbury “Keep Team GB Pumped” Olympics campaign, which was released on Cadbury’s website on 16th November.
Filming with Sarah Thomas, Team GB Hockey Player, originally from Merthyr Tydfil, the cast sang the rock anthem “We Will Rock You” whilst building a village for our supreme athlete. This advert is one of only six power ads from Cadbury, with “The Final Countdown” and “Simply The Best” already airing on television channels.

SUMMER SHOWCASE 2011!
The Academy held our first ever Summer Showcase on Friday 22nd July 2011 & it was a fantastic success! Over 70 performers took to the stage ranging from the age of 3 up to more mature learners with group numbers, solos, songs & dances. The evening was hosted by DUANOS EDUARDO & KELSEA RICHARDSON who introduced the acts & kept the audience entertained in between songs.
The official photographer for the evening PHILIP SIMMS has caught the evening on film so as soon as we have those stills, we will put together a gallery for you enjoyment!
A huge thank you to all of the performers, staff & crew who all helped to make the Showcase the success it was.

For the third year running, MPAA took a group of students to Disneyland Resort Paris for a Study Experience. Whilst there, students had the honour of a personal consultation with Disneyland's Creative Director Kat Du Blois (Pictured below with Academy students & teachers)
