The musical version of The Wedding Singer:
It's 1985 and rock-star wannabe Robbie Heart is New Jersey's favourite wedding singer. He's the life of the party, until his own fiancée leaves him at the altar. Shot through the heart, Robbie makes every wedding as disastrous as his own. As he assists his new friend Julia with her own Wedding Plans, he begins to see that, perhaps, not all relationships are doomed to fail...
The group's aims
The group constantly aims to challenge the young actors, musicians and directors by setting a higher standard than the last for each new production. They also push the boundaries of modern day amateur dramatic theatre groups by striving to perform productions that are not done regularly, working with different music genres and delving into the more unusual subject matters.
The subject matter is always a crucial part of the decision to do certain productions. The group likes to choose subjects that are relevent to today's society. To date they have dealt with various subjects including drug abuse, prostitution, domestic violence and religion. Each show has attracted fresh new talent, ever expanding the group.
How to Join
The current cast consists of around 25-30 members, all varying in age and experience and always has room to expand these numbers. A vast experience in theatre is by no means neccessary, our doors are always open to new members who want to learn skills in musical theatre.
